FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mike Ferguson to speak at Clay County Pachyderm Club August Meeting


MIKE FERGUSON will be the speaker at the August meeting of the Clay County Pachyderm Club on THURSDAY AUGUST 13TH AT TOMMY’S RESTAURANT 6221 N. CHESTNUT GLADSTONE, MO. The meeting will be held from 6 PM – 8 PM. Mike will be speaking on the topic “A Big Tent With Principles: Reaching Out Without Selling Out.” The Clay County Pachyderm club was recently established in July. The club forum is open to Republicans wanting a nationally affiliated organization that promotes conservative values and fiscally responsible government.

MIKE FERGUSON lives in Grandview, Missouri with his two children, Austin and Amber. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Charter Oak State College. He majored in Communications.

Professionally, Mike has managed the Human Resources department for one of America’s fastest-growing companies and has managed recruiting, training and human resources operations for divisions of two Fortune 500 companies. He earned the Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) certification from the American Staffing Association in 2006.

Prior to working in human resources, Mike was a journalist in the Kansas City area. His media experience includes television, radio and newspaper journalism. Today, he produces and hosts “Missouri Viewpoints”, a popular online public affairs TV program.

Politically, Mike received the Libertarian National Committee’s Thomas Paine Award for excellence in political outreach and communicating the message of liberty and smaller government in 2008. He served as the National Field Director for Bob Barr’s Libertarian Presidential Campaign in 2008. Mike currently sits on the Grandview Board of Alderman to which he was elected in 2009.
