Spearheaded by the Office of Lt. Governor Peter Kinder, the Missouri Veteran Stories project honors Missouri’s military veterans by capturing their stories on DVD, to be preserved for future generations. I received an email from Rep. Ryan Silvey today about a unique event in the Northland that is tied to this outstanding project.

The Office of Lt. Governor Peter Kinder has initiated the Missouri Veteran Stories project which honors Missouri’s military veterans by capturing theirstories to be preserved for future generations.  For the last two years, I have been instrumental in making sure this project remained funded in the House Budget Committee.

Interviews for veterans living in the Gladstone or surrounding areas will be held on Wednesday, October 14th at the Antioch Branch of the Mid-Continent Library located at 6060 N. Chestnut in Gladstone. To learn more about this project, please open the attached flyer or log on to www.missouriveteranstories.org/about_project.cfm. To schedule an appointment or to nominate a Veteran please log on to www.missouriveteranstories.org orcall 1-800-905-1536.

If you have any questions, or would like my office staff to assist you, please call our toll free number 1-866-369-6113.

Please if you know anyone that lives in the metro that this affects please let them know. Unfortunately we are losing our WWII veterans at a quick rate. I never will know the stories that my grandfather took with him. Please help preserve the history of these true American heroes!
