I just got this in my email today. I thought it worth sharing with you. I am a strong supporter of Bill Randles. Mr. Randles is running to be the Republican nominee for Missouri Governor.

Spence Camp Arrogance Shows Through
Liberty, Mo., June 13, 2012 — The Bill Randles campaign issued a statement today regarding a report that their primary challenger chastised members of a conservative club for “bad behavior.”

The comment reported by the Lake Sun Leader was made by the Dave Spence camp in response to the their discovery that Randles would also be attending an event where Spence had already committed to attend.  The Spence camp said they decided to “not reward bad behavior” and promptly canceled Spence’s appearance.

Randles Communications Director John Errante said that the comment shows a glimpse into how Spence operates.

“Saying it is ‘bad behavior’ indicates it is Spence’s role to evaluate voters, as opposed to voters evaluating Spence,” Errante said. “They clearly misunderstand who is supposed to be the public servant and who is the master.”

The event was sponsored by the Lake Area Conservative Club, a prominent organization in the Lake of the Ozarks region of Missouri, and was organized specifically to give local voters the opportunity to see their choices in the Aug. 7 primary side-by-side.

“This out of touch behavior is typical of an establishment philosophy that dictates its wishes to voters,” Errante said. “It should work the other way around. We live in a Republic.”

Errante said that the comment unveils the true meaning behind one of Spence’s claims.

“When Dave says he wants to be CEO of Missouri, apparently he means he wants to dictate to voters how things will be and warns them not the question him,” Errante said.

Errante said that this isn’t the first time Spence has displayed arrogant behavior.

“This is just a latest in a series of arrogant statements from Spence.  He acts as if he is an incumbent or the prohibitive frontrunner,” Errante said. “He recently referred to himself as the presumptive nominee at an event in St. Louis.  A breathtaking statement for someone who was crushed 67.7% to 31.5% in a poll of delegates and alternates at the GOP State Convention.
