Ok, I know I seem obsessed with Goldman Sachs, but there is something just wrong about this whole situation and the more I learn the more suspicious I become. As usual the truth is pretty crazy and goes to show you that trust is not something anybody in WADC deserves right now. Stick with me here, this is kind of lengthy, but very informative.

In 2000-2001 the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) (http://www.chicagoclimatex.com/) received start-up capital from The Joyce Foundation (http://www.joycefdn.org/), $347,000 dollars to be exact in 2000. The Chicago Climate Echange is a place where companies can voluntarily purchase carbon credits. If you don’t understand this process it is pretty asinine. A big company that produces lots and lots of CO2 buys “carbon credits” to offset their “destruction” of the environment, this money is then redistributed to a small company in a country where they don’t produce a lot of CO2. The liberals will tell you they are saving the planet, but the reality is that it’s just a scheme for redistribution of wealth. Anyway, the Joyce Foundation is a unique entity. It’s kind of like a place for rich liberals to sort-of launder their money. They give money, The Joyce Foundation then gives this money to pet projects, but the key is that the money cannot be traced. Of course you go to their website and they don’t exactly tell you this, but you look at their policy issues and you learn real quick what side of the political fence they stand on. It is estimated that the climate change market, if fully incorporated into our economy, could be up to $10 trillion dollars. Now remember the CCX is currently voluntary, unless of course Cap and Trade is passed, then it’s not.

London based Generation Investment Management purchased a stake in the CCX, they are now the fifth largest stakeholder in the CCX. Now guess who is chairman and founder of Generation Investment Managment. It’s Al Gore! A cofounder of this company is David Blood, now he works for Goldman Sachs. Yep, Peter Harris another founder, works for Goldman Sachs, and then there is Mark Ferguson who works for Goldman Sachs. In 2006 Goldman Sachs decided that the Generation Investment Management was such a great deal that they bought 10% of the entire company!

Now to keep track of the CO2 that is produced by a company you of course need a device to do so. A patent was created by CO2E.com CEO Carlton Bartels. Bartels was killed in the 9/11 attacks, but his wife carried on for him. She sold the patent to Franklin Raines, yeah that guy, the corrupt former CEO of Fannie Mae, the same one that left with one of the largest Golden Parachutes ever seen. The US Patent and Trade office ok’ed the patent for this technology on Nov. 6th 2006, the day after the Democrats took control of Congress. Coincidence I am sure.

By the way, who sat on the board of The Joyce Foundation in 2000-2001? Yep, you guessed it, our hero Barry Obama. Mr. “I am going to stand up to the evil companies” himself. He was there until 2002.

Something is insanely wrong. As I mentioned in a previous email, Goldman Sachs donated $4.5 million dollars to the Democrats in the 2008 calendar year, another $1.5 million to the Republicans, and then spent an additional $6 million in lobbying. I honestly think this dog and pony show with Goldman Sachs, is simply that, it’s a political maneuver to keep you, the angry American distracted while the collusion continues between this company and our “leaders” in Washington.

For those in Missouri it gets even better. Take Roy Blunt. On top of being the number one Republican recipient of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac funds in the US Congress in 2008. Roy took $20,000 from Fannie Mae alone. Roy Blunt received $15,500 from, yep, you guessed it Goldman Sachs. This is why I will be voting for Chuck Purgason in the primary in August. Now in fairness Mr. Blunt has been against Cap and Trade and I don’t think he is tied up in to all of this above. But I just find it curious when Mr. Blunt claims to be the people’s candidate. http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/contrib.php?cid=N00005195&cycle=2008&type=C&newMem=N&recs=100

If this doesn’t make you mad, check yourself for a pulse.
